Terms and conditions

The following Program terms and conditions (the "Terms and Conditions") govern the Fulton Bank Rewards Program that is tied to your Select Rewards card account. Unless defined in these Terms and Conditions, capitalized terms used in these Terms and Conditions are defined in your Cardmember Agreement.


Description of the Program

  1. You earn 1 reward point for each $4.00 of qualifying purchases made with your Relationship Rewards Visa Debit Card. A "Qualifying Purchase" is any signature-based purchase, Internet purchase, phone or mail order purchase made with your Relationship Rewards Visa Debit Card, which is processed or submitted through the Visa U.S.A. Inc. transaction processing system.
  2. You must sign for all in-store purchases you make with your Relationship Rewards Visa Debit Card in order for such purchases to be deemed Qualifying Purchases; do not use a Personal Identification Number (PIN) when paying for your purchases with your Relationship Rewards Visa Debit Card if you want to earn points for such purchases in the Program.
  3. PIN-based purchases, balance transfers, ATM transactions, payments made for pre-paid and re-loadable cards such as certain gift cards, and similar cards, or payments made for payment instruments that can readily be converted to cash (for example, travelers cheques, money orders, wire transfers, and similar products or services) are not Qualifying Purchases. We reserve the right to determine in our sole discretion whether a particular Relationship Rewards Visa Debit Card transaction is a Qualifying Purchase.
  4. When making an in-store purchase (at a store, restaurant, or other merchant location) with your Relationship Rewards Visa Debit Card and you are presented with a choice of "credit" or "debit/ATM," choose "credit" to ensure you will be asked to sign for your purchase and earn Relationship Rewards points for Qualifying Purchases. When making a purchase online make sure you always select "Visa" if you have that choice to ensure you will earn Relationship Rewards points for Qualifying Purchases.
  5. Each Relationship Rewards Visa Debit Card will be treated as a separate Relationship Rewards Account, even if two or more Visa card numbers are associated with the same Debiting account.
  6. Points are earned for the Qualifying Purchases based on the actual purchase amount, including tax, after we have deducted amounts credited to your account for returns, refunds or other reasons.
  7. Points will NOT accumulate if an Account is not in good standing or overdrawn.
  8. Points are considered earned when they are posted to the redemption system. Accounts will be updated monthly; however, points may take up to 60 days to be posted following a qualifying purchase.
  9. Accrual of points may begin on the date the card and the card agreement are received and activated by the cardholder. No retroactive credit will be given for prior purchases before the card is enrolled in the Program.
  10. Points have no cash or other value, except to obtain Rewards.
  11. Points from multiple accounts with the same demand deposit account number can be added together, if agreed to by both parties. Points can also be transferred one-way from an Élan credit card rewards program into a Relationship Rewards Program account, but are subject to the value of reward points in the Debit program.
  12. Points may not be combined with any other loyalty/frequency reward program, except as mentioned above.
  13. Points are not the property of the cardholder, and cannot be bought, sold or transferred in any way (including upon death or as part of a domestic relations matter).
  14. We reserve the right to award bonus points to selected cardholders from time to time, at our sole discretion.
  15. Purchase amounts, including tax, will be rounded to the nearest whole dollar amount to determine the number of points to be posted to your Relationship Rewards Account.
  16. Points are tracked and redeemable on a first-in, first-out basis. It may take up to 60 days for some of your Qualifying Purchases to post to your Relationship Rewards Account. Points will expire three (3) years from the date of issuance.
  17. To redeem Points: cardholder's account(s) must be open (meaning not voluntarily closed, canceled or terminated for any reason); and in good standing (meaning not overdrawn); and the card cannot have any other status preventing use.
  18. You can view your Relationship Rewards Account point balance, view any new points earned, and or redeem points from your Relationship Rewards Account at any time online at the Program website www.myrelationshiprewards.com or by calling your financial institution.
  19. Your positive point balance will be forfeited if your Relationship Rewards Account is terminated by you or by us. If a combined/joint account is closed by you or us, positive points balance will revert to the primary deposit account holder. (We will determine in our sole discretion what is a closed account or a terminated account for these purposes). You may not be provided with written notice of expiration or forfeiture of points.
  20. You are not entitled to compensation from us or our Administrator or from any other entity, when your points expire or if they are forfeited for any reason.
  21. You agree to release us, the participating financial institution, Consumer Benefit Services, Inc. (the "Administrator"), and its vendors from all liability for any injury, accident, loss, claim, expense or damages sustained by you, associated with a reward or use of rewards while participating in this Program and in the case of a travel reward, anyone traveling with or without you, in connection with the receipt, ownership, or use of any reward. The foregoing entities shall not be liable for consequential damages, and the sole extent of liability, if at all, shall not exceed the actual value of the reward.
  22. You are responsible for determining any tax liability arising from participation in the Program. Consult a tax advisor concerning tax consequences.
  23. Your financial institution and the Administrator shall have no liability for disagreements between Customers regarding Points. Discrepancies about Point earnings are not treated as credit card billing disputes. Your financial institution's decisions regarding Point discrepancies shall be final.
  24. Redeemed Points are deducted from the Customer's Point balance as of the request date of a reward.
  25. Points must be redeemed by the cardholder, and may be used for another person.
  26. Your financial institution reserves the right to disqualify any cardholder from participation in the program and invalidate all points for abuse, fraud, or any violation of the program terms and conditions. The financial institution may make such a determination in its sole discretion.
  27. The rewards program is void where prohibited by federal, state, or local law.
  28. Your financial institution and the administrator are not responsible for typographical errors and/or omissions in any Program document. 
  29. Your financial institution and the Administrator reserve the right to change these Terms and Conditions of the rewards Program, or to discontinue the Program, with or without notice to you. At your financial institution's option, redemption of Points may be restricted, limited, expired or cancelled at any time without prior notice.
  30. This rewards Program is a service provided through the Administrator and your financial institution. In the event of fraud, abuse of Program privileges or violation of the Program Terms and Conditions (including any attempt to sell, exchange or transfer Points or by an instrument exchangeable for Points), your financial institution reserves the right to cancel your membership in the rewards Program.
  31. Eligibility in the Program is restricted to individuals who have a statement address within the 50 United States or the District of Columbia who are 18 or more years old in whose name the Account is maintained.

Travel rewards redemption terms and conditions

For travel redemption, visit www.myRelationshiprewards.com or call the Administrator's travel redemption center for all your travel needs at 1-800-924-1807. They are a full service agency that can assist you with air rewards, hotel, auto, vacation and cruise reservations.

  1. All Points redeemed for travel must be redeemed through Administrator's fully licensed redemption reservation center. Customers must have an eligible Relationship Rewards Account at the time of redemption.
  2. All airline tickets issued in exchange for Points are non-refundable and non-changeable after ticket issuance, without paying the standard fees charged by each airline. Changes are subject to authorization by the airline and subject to add-collects and fees charged by the airline and redemption center.
  3. Discounted airfares and roundtrip tickets carry a $25 fee to the customer for use.
  4. Lost, stolen or otherwise destroyed airline tickets will not be replaced without the Customer paying the standard fees charged by each airline.
  5. Customers may make additional travel reservations with the Administrator's travel department using their financial institution card.
  6. All travel documents will be issued the same day the reservation is made.
  7. Airfares are not guaranteed if not ticketed immediately. All reservations will receive a fax or email the same day the ticket is issued. The Customer must call in any corrections or discrepancies by 9:00pm (Central time) Monday through Friday and by 5:00pm (Central time) on Saturday and 2:00pm (Central time) on Sunday. The Customer must call in by 9:00pm (Central time) if the email or fax is not received the same day the ticket is ordered. Any changes or corrections done the following day or thereafter are subject to all airline airfare charges, exchange fees and processing fees and processing charges.
  8. Paper airline tickets are subject to the individual airline paper ticket fees.
  9. If a paper ticket is issued, the Customer has two options for delivery. A Customer can sign a waiver stating that they accept responsibility for a lost ticket, and then the ticket will be sent via US Mail. The second option is for a Customer to pay a $15 shipping fee for the ticket to be sent via DHL overnight delivery. Priority, Saturday and outside the 48 contiguous states, deliveries will be subject to additional shipping charges.
  10. The Customer is responsible for payment of any baggage charges, departure taxes or other charges that may have been assessed by governmental entities or airlines as a result of travel under the rewards Program.
  11. Administrator's normal and customary fees associated with processing travel related services will be billed to your Relationship Rewards Visa Debit Card or other major credit card provided by customer at time of redemption.
  12. Your financial institution and the Administrator are not responsible for the performance by the airlines of the ticketed transportation. All reservations are made subject to the conditions of carriage, supply or business of the party providing the service, which include exclusions and limitations of liability. The airline industry is in constant flux and changes brought down by this industry are done quickly and without notice, therefore, reward redemption rules for air travel are subject to change without notice.
  13. Specific restrictions may apply to certain travel rewards.

    DISCOUNTED AIRFARES. You may redeem 12,500 points for a $100 discount off of any scheduled major international or domestic airline. The total ticket cost will be billed to your Account with a $100 credit that shall appear within the next two billing statements.
    ROUNDTRIP TICKET
    Customers may redeem points for a single lowest published airfare, refer to the airline ticket page of the website for further details.

1. Each ticket must be ordered through administrator for one round trip airline ticket on a scheduled U.S. or International carrier.

2. All tickets must be for round-trip travel on the same airline or code share airline.

3. En-route stopovers are not permitted unless they are to make direct connections.

4. Reservations for tickets also exclude the usage of charters.

5. Actual travel may occur any time within three hundred and thirty (330) days after the reservation conditions in this agreement are met.

6. Reservations shall also be subject to airline seat availability on travel dates specified by the traveler.

7. Administrator reserves the right to choose a major airline of their choice on which to reserve and ticket cardholders for free tickets.

8. The travel agency has the right to book your reservation within 2 hours of your requested travel times for departures and returns.

9. Each ticket may not exceed the Ticket Cap.

Merchandise rewards redemption terms and conditions

  1. When necessary, the Administrator may substitute a reward with an equal or greater value without advance notice. You will be notified of any change when ordering. The Administrator may remove certain items and may replace or remove certain sections within any rewards Program literature or website. All rewards are subject to availability.
  2. Merchandise rewards will take four to six weeks to arrive from the time of order. Multiple rewards may arrive at different times from different vendors.
  3. No shipments of merchandise can be made to APO/FPO or PO Box addresses.
  4. Merchandise shippable by UPS will be available to all US territories. Items being shipped to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam and the US Virgin Islands will have an additional freight charge billed to your Account.
  5. Merchandise pictured in any rewards Program catalog or website may not necessarily reflect exact colors or models of actual rewards due to printing variations and/or manufacturers' updates. Information is accurate to the best of our knowledge. Your financial institution and the Administrator are not responsible for errors or omissions.
  6. Points required for reward items are subject to change.
  7. You may exchange merchandise only in the event of merchandise defects or damage in shipment. Any exceptions, damages, or shortages must be noted on the delivery receipt before you sign to accept shipment of merchandise.
  8. All merchandise is covered by manufacturer's warranties. Any such defect should be handled through the standard manufacturer repair facility as noted with merchandise. Neither we nor the Administrator make any guarantees, warranties or representations of any kind, express or implied, with respect to any merchandise and shall not be liable for any loss, expense, accident, injury or inconvenience that may arise in connection with any merchandise.

Gift Certificates

  1. You may redeem Points earned in the Program for gift certificates. Mechanical reproductions, copies or facsimiles of gift certificates/cards will not be accepted. Additional terms and conditions appearing on the gift certificate/card are to be interpreted in accordance with, and are incorporated into, these Program Terms and Conditions.
  2. Gift certificate/card rewards will be mailed only to your billing address as reflected in our records. Gift certificates/cards are transferable and may be redeemed by any person.
  3. Gift certificates/cards must be presented to participating merchant partner for use. Gift certificates/cards are not exchangeable, refundable, or redeemable for cash and cannot be replaced if lost or stolen.
